An Insightful Industrial Visit to Chandigarh & Manali

The students of N.G Acharya & D.K Marathe college embarked on an enriching Industrial Visit (IV) from Chandigarh to Manali from January 30 to February 7, 2025. The visit was organized under the guidance of Mr. Mahesh Vaishnav, the In-charge of IV Organizing, along with six faculty members: Mr. Santosh Jadhav, Mr. Sandesh Patil, Mrs. Pranjali, Mr. Akshay Sawant, Mrs. Priti Palkar, and Miss. Priyanka Maurya.

Journey and Arrival in Chandigarh

The journey commenced on January 30, 2025, as students and faculty boarded a train from Bandra Terminus to Chandigarh. Upon reaching Chandigarh on January 31, 2025, the students took some time to relax and rejuvenate. The day concluded with an energetic DJ Night, setting a lively tone for the rest of the trip.

Industrial and Sightseeing Visits in Chandigarh

On the morning of February 1, 2025, students visited Micro Turners a leading car gear manufacturing company, where they gained insights into the intricate process of gear production, automation, and quality control. This visit provided valuable exposure to real-world industrial practices and enhanced their understanding of manufacturing processes.

Later in the day, the group explored Chandigarh’s famous Rock Garden, known for its unique sculptures made from industrial and household waste. The visit was an artistic and cultural experience, allowing students to appreciate sustainable art and creative design.

Journey to Manali and Sightseeing

That night, the group departed for Manali and arrived the next morning. The day began with a visit to the sacred Hadimba Temple, where students sought blessings and appreciated the historical significance of the temple. Following this, they engaged in an exhilarating river rafting activity, an adventure that tested their team spirit and resilience. Later, students explored Mall Road, famous for its local cuisine and handcrafted items, allowing them to experience the rich culture of the region.

Visit to Solang Valley

The following day, students visited the breathtaking Solang Valley, where they enjoyed playing in the snow, making memories, and spending quality time with friends. The scenic beauty of the valley made it a highlight of the trip.

 Visit to Kullu Shawl Factory

On the final day in Manali, the Student visited the Kullu Shawl Factory, where they witnessed the intricate process of shawl making, from weaving to finishing. This visit provided valuable insights into the textile industry, and many students also purchased authentic Kullu shawls as souvenirs.

Return to Mumbai

With a treasure trove of experiences, knowledge, and unforgettable memories, students departed for Mumbai, marking the end of a successful and enriching industrial visit.

Conclusion

It provided students with valuable industry insights, hands-on experiences, and a deep appreciation for local heritage and traditions.
