Department of Mathematics was established in 1978. The department caters to the first and third year students of Commerce, first and second year students of Science.
Advanced learners are encouraged to participate in various competitions whereas the weak learners are motivated to attend the remedial coaching classes.
Department has tradition of hosting lectures by scholars in the field of Mathematics .Various guest lectures are arranged for the students on the topic related to the history of Mathematics and Careers in Mathematics. History of Mathematics encourages to learn the subject in today’s more approachable world, whereas after graduation what are the career opportunities available and what are necessities to achieve those career objectives are guided to the students during expert lecture on Careers in Mathematics.
