The Health Care Centre and Women Development Committee had organized a Cervical Cancer vaccination camp on 11th February 2025 in our college in collaboration with Maharashtra Konkan Prant Bharat Vikas Parishad and Reliance Foundation. Cervical Cancer can be prevented by HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) vaccination.
The vaccination camp was organized to provide free vaccinations to the community and help to enhance public health efforts. The primary objective of the vaccination camp was to:
- Provide easy access to vaccination
- Educate people about the importance of vaccines for disease prevention.
The vaccination was given by Reliance Foundations Dr Darshit and their volunteers. Fifty junior college girl students have taken advantage of this vaccination camp by giving consent from their parents. Dr. Tejaswini has enlightened cervical cancer prevention and vaccination to the parents of the girls and made them aware about Cervical Cancer.
