Student has to complete course work and research work to the satisfaction of Research Guide and publish research articles as well as present research work, The UGC guidelines will be applicable.

Career Prospects :
Presently this is the highest academic degree in India, Chemistry being an applied subject, students on completion can apply for the post of Science based Government organization. From July 2021, only Ph.D. candidates can apply for the post of lecturer in Aided colleges. Doctorate students can also continue Post DOC in India or abroad and are eligible for sizable stipend.
