Science Utsav – 2024-25

Department of Sciences organized an Intercollegiate Competition ‘Science Utsav’ for undergraduate students on February 1, 2025. The competition was held by all Science Departments. Chemistry Department invited Dr. Harshada Niju from Janan Vikas Mandal’s, Mehta College and Mr. Prashant Shinde from Cipla Ltd, Mumbai, for Judging Canvas, Chem-O-Point, Chem-Mehendi and Rapid Fire competition. Around 27 participants from different colleges were participated in various competition. Mathematics competition aimed to enhance students analytical and communication skills by encouraging research and innovative presentations on mathematical topics. Poster Presentation on diverse mathematical themes. PPT Competition on contemporary mathematical issues. An intercollegiate event which comprised of Poster Presentation competition and Fun Games in Physics. Applied Physics, Environmental Consciousness and Sustainability, Communication and IT and Robotics. Around 30 participants for poster presentation and near 26 groups participated in the Fun Games. The Botany department’s Floral Rangoli Competition total 16 participants participated and made eleven Floral Rangolis. Students showcased their creativity, competing in various events across departments, promoting scientific excellence and innovation. Zoology department’s Art and Craft competition includes Jugad – Best out of Waste and Sketching competition. Wildlife encouraging and inspiring students to creatively express animal and plant diversity, incredible skill and talent by providing a space for students to express the importance of wildlife through visual art. More than 30 students from other colleges participated in “Science Utsav”. The activities were highly enjoyed and appreciated by the teachers and students who visited the event. The objective of this progrmme is to provide a platform for students to learn, develop their scientific temperament, technical and soft skills, showcase their talents, compete in creative and academic events and enhance essential skills. The winners were given cash prizes and certificates.
