The Chembur Trombay Education Society’s N.G. Acharya & D.K. Marathe College of Arts, Science & Commerce marked a historic milestone with the centenary celebration of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s groundbreaking thesis, The Problem of the Rupee: Its Origin and Its Solution. The event, held on 17th April 2025, was organized collaboratively by the Department of Economics, Library Department, and IQAC.
The conference, titled “The Economic Thoughts of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar for the Sustainable and Inclusive Development of Modern India,” was inaugurated by Dr. Narendra Jadhav, an eminent economist. His insightful opening remarks set the tone for the event, highlighting Dr. Ambedkar’s economic philosophy as a beacon for addressing contemporary challenges.
This one-day international conference provided a platform to revisit Dr. Ambedkar’s visionary ideas. Around 80 Renowned academics, and students gathered to discuss his contributions to sustainable development and inclusive growth.
