Masters of Science in Organic Chemistry

The M.Sc. Organic Chemistry Programme started in the year 2004-2005. There are ten (10) seats which are filled in as per University rules.

• Eligibility: Student who has taken 6 units as well as 3 units of Chemistry atT. Y. B.Sc. can apply for this course. The marks only in major subjects and major practical will be considered for admission . Applied component subject marks will not be considered for the admission .
  
  
• Career Prospects : After completingthis postgraduate course-
  • One can continue higher studies in the form of Ph.D.
  • Can appear for exams like GRE and TOEFL so as to get admission in M.S. in a foreign University and then continue Ph.D. Can get career opportunities in Companies related to Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Fertilizers , Oil Extraction and processing Clinical Research, Soaps and detergents, Marketing, Instrumentation etc.
  • He/She can become a Faculty/ Instructor in Schools and/ or Colleges.
