The Department of Psychology and the Counselling Cell organized a Certificate Course in Child Psychology from January 27, 2025, to February 28, 2025. A total of 19 students enrolled in the course, 12 of whom were in-house students, while 9 were from other colleges.
The course syllabus covered theories of child development, psychological disorders in children, psychological assessment of children, and the fundamental skills of a child psychologist. Key highlights included practical skills training, field visits, and guest lectures by experts in the field. The syllabus was designed to strike a balance between theory and practice while catering to a diverse group of students from the first, second, and third years of their undergraduate studies.
The certificate course was well received by all students and garnered highly positive feedback.
