M. Sc. (Organic Chemistry)

The M.Sc. Organic Chemistry Programme started in the year 2004-2005. There are ten (10) seats which are filled in as per University rules.

I) Eligibility : Student who has taken 6 units as well as 3 units of Chemistry at T. Y. B. Sc. can apply for this course. The marks only in major subjects and major practical will be considered for admission. Applied component subject marks will not be considered for the  admission.

II) Career Prospects : After completing this post graduate course -
i) One can continue higher studies in the form of Ph.D.
ii) Can appear for exams like GRE and TOEFL so as to get admission in M.S. in a foreign University and then continue Ph.D.
iii) Can get career opportunities in Companies related to Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Fertilizers, Oil Extraction and processing Clinical Research, Soaps and detergents, Marketing, Instrumentation etc.
iv) He/She can become a Faculty / Instructor in Schools and / or Colleges.
