About Us
N. G. Acharya & D. K. Marathe College of Arts, Science & Commerce was established in 1978 by Chembur Trombay Education Society. It is ideally located in the heart of Chembur on N. G. Acharya Marg between Chembur and Govandi railway Stations and is served by a number of BEST bus routes.
As the first degree college in Chembur, it was started with the aim to cater higher education needs of students from Chembur and the neighbouring areas. The college is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. We are blessed with the dedicated, experienced and well qualified teachers.
Our college conducts HSC course in Arts / Science / Commerce in Junior College affiliated Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary.

We offer B.A. / B.Sc./ B.Com. degree courses in various subjects, which come under aided section.
We also conduct professional courses on Permanently Non-Grant basis such as B.M.S. (Bachelor of Management Studies), B.Sc.-IT (Information Technology), B.Sc.-CS (Computer Science), B.Com. (Accounting & Finance), B.Com. (Banking & insurance), B.A.M.M.C. (Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media & communication), B.Com. (Financial Market).
We also offer Post Graduate Courses like M.Com.(Advanced Accountancy), M.Sc.(Information Technology), M.Sc.(Computer Science) and M.Sc.(Organic Chemistry). The college is a lecture centre for M.Sc.(Organic Chemistry) Semester III and IV for the cluster of nearby 5 colleges. There is recognised research lab for Ph.D. course in Science (Chemistry) in the department of Chemistry and 6 students are working for their doctorate degree and also Ph.D. Centre in Commerce and Management – Accountancy in which currently three students doing research.
We also run a study centre of IDOL (Institute of Distance education and Open Learning, University of Mumbai) for B. A. and B. Com. Courses. In addition we run a study centre for YCMOU for Preparatory course and B. A. and B. Com. Course. Moreover, our college is a centre for conducting Practicals for M. Sc. in Chemistry, for Madurai Kamaraj Universitry.
A new 7 storey building is constructed for un-aided courses which is equipped with modern learning amenities in addition to a Digital Media Lab, Two Storey Library With Wi-Fi Facility and Three Computer Labs With 250 Computers.
The college campus has big sports ground, spacious seminar hall and an obstacle ground which has been developed as per the requirements of the N.C.C. Unit.
The college serves more than 8000 students each year in Junior, Degree and Self-Finance Courses.
We believe in all round personality development of students. Along with studies, the college encourages co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and sports.
