Ever since the N.G.Acharya and D.K.Marathe College of Arts, Science and Commerce was established in 1978 by the Chembur Trombay Education Society, it has made rapid strides in the field of higher education. 

Being the first such college in this part of our great metropolis, with the noble commitment to educate the masses rather than the classes, we can proudly say that we have not only achieved our goal, but steadily marching ahead, adding more feathers to our cap.  But, when we consider that a majority of our students are first general learners, mostly from the lower strata of society, ours is no mean achievement.

We have a Junior College with courses in the streams of Arts, Science and Commerce, an aided college offering undergraduate courses in Arts, Science and Commerce and a Self Finance Section offering undergraduate professional courses as well as post graduate courses in Commerce and Science (Chemistry).

We are very thankful to our dedicated staff, both teaching and non-teaching, who, by their sustained, unflinching efforts have made the college much sought after by the student community.  We also owe our sincere thanks to the parents / guardians of the students for co-operating with us in all our efforts to the betterment of our institution.
