Report

  1. Regular Activities at College Level : The NCC cadets of our college have regular 'Fall-In' on Thursday and Saturday at the college ground (early morning 5:45 am to 7:15 am i.e. for one and half hour) and the cadets also have to attend compulsory 'Fall-In' every Friday at college (From 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm) and the remaining cadets on every Sunday at their respective units (From 8:00 am to 1:00 pm)

    The 'Fall-In' enables them to maintain physical fitness and they also carry out the following :
    1. Physical Training
    2. Drill Practice
    3. Obstacles Practice
    4. Commando Training
    5. Attend lecture on Aviation
    6. Map Reading
    7. Weapon training

  2. Regular Activities At Office Level :
    In addition to attending regular lectures, our NCC cadets also take active interest in NCC Office Work. Cadets attend the NCC Office Work after college hours. Some of the office activities are as follows-

    1. Enrolment (June & July) : Event In-charge : JUO Akshay Lad : About 80 students from degree and Jr. college enrolled for NCC. However preference was given to degree college students, as NCC is the activity which leads them to join the Defence Services after graduation. They are trained by senior cadets to facilitate their selection in college NCC unit and various parent units of NCC. 60% of them were selected by the end of August as per vacancies in those units.

    2. Documentation (Throughout the year) : Event In-charge : JUO Akshay Lad : The NCC G. S. and his team assisted in documentation of the various NCC activities conducted in the college and units.

    3. Camp Information (Throughout the year) : Event In-charge : JUO Akshay Lad : The NCC G. S. and his team guided the cadets in matters relating to the various camps together with giving them details about the selection procedure, selection criteria, dates of camps and helping them to fill up the required forms.

    4. Meeting (Throughout the year) : The NCC G. S. and his team also ensured proper conduct of meetings and maintaining minutes of the various meetings.
  3. General Activities 2 In addition to regular activities at college, unit level and office work our NCC cadets organised other activities such as:
    1. Shahid Din (July, 26, 2011) : Event In-charge : Cpl Dakshal Patil : We observed Shahid Din to salute the brave soldiers of the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force who sacri?ced their lives for the country. A replica of Shahid Smarak at the base of Tiger hill was beautifully made. JCO Subedar K. Sathu was the Chief Guest, and Guest of Honor was CTES president Adv. Liladhar Dake, the PI staff of NCC. Principal Dr. D. M. Muley and Vice Principal, students, college staff and NCC cadets paid homage to the Shahids of Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. 2)

    2. Independence Day (15th August, 2011) : Event In-charge : JUO Akshay Lad : Our NCC Unit organized Independence Day Parade at the college ground for which CTES's General Secretary Shri Ramesh Mhapankar was the chief guest who hoisted the National Flag and our Principal Dr. D. M. Muley inspected the NCC parade. This function was attended by Vice Principals, NSS volunteers, college students and teaching and nonteaching staff.

    3. Lecture on Careers In Armed Forces (December, 17, 2011) : Event In-charge : Cpl Dakdhal Patil : The NCC Unit of our college had organized a lecture on the topic of "Careers in Armed Forces" by Col Subhash Pol, The Col gave a PPT presentation in which he informed the students about various career in armed forces & what quali?cations are required to join the armed forces.

    4. International Costal Clean Up - 2011 (17th September, 2011) : Event In-charge : Cdt Mahadev Mane : Ten cadets of our unit and Prof. Sunil Kadam participated in International Coastal Clean Up Day on 17th Sept. 2011 organised by Indian Coast Guard and ESSAR group at Girgaon Chowpatti.

    5. Anti Drinking & Driving Campaign (27th September to 2nd October, 2011) : Event In-charge : Cdt Anup Muley : Our cadets participated in Anti Drinking & Driving Campaign launched by 5 EME COY NCC on behalf of NOC Group HQ Mumbai 'A' in association with Mumbai Traf?c Police and WIAA. During this period our cadets stood at various strategic locations holding placards on anti drinking and driving.

    6. Hutatma Din (December, 3rd 2011) : Event In-charge : Cpl Vishal Pawar : Our NCC In-charge Prof. Sunil Kadam along with 38 of our NCC cadets participated in the function organized by Sharad N. Acharya Smruti Pratishtan to pay homage to Late Shri. N. G. Acharya, veteran freedom fighter and social activist from Chembur. Incidentally he is the father of the founder of our college Shri. Sharad N. Acharya. The unique feature of this function is the attendance not only by children
